On man. Last night Claude casually suggested it knock out a Fourier solver when I asked it for some ideas for generative art projects. The singularity is weird.
If you put a read head at the tip that that could increment the phase of some circle from reading some dot it previously put down, or some similar scheme, could you make circles Turing complete?
I have a bit of a hard time liking this sentence in an otherwise lovely article:
"The velocity is the same as the position but imaginary instead of real."
I don't know if you're familiar with the 3blue1brown YouTube Channel, but he does an outrageously good job of explaining this mechanism in about 20 minutes. Search YouTube for "3b1b de4" and it should be the first video: "But what is a Fourier series? From heat flow to drawing with circles".
I love Fourier series/transforms/DFTs irrationally.
This just makes my heart leap with joy to see creative output with it.
- are all circles supposed to be one inside another?
- is each circle always going to rotate around the bigger circle?
